Our Mission
To help leaders become the best they can be for their teams, their organizations, and themselves.
While there are many resources that address leader behavior, corporate strategy, and execution, they often target the C-suite and senior executive teams with a tangential reach to other leadership levels. The Richardson Leadership Group seeks to combine these topics into a comprehensive conversation, providing meaningful advice to those accountable for delivering results. We support leaders two, three, and four levels below the C-suite who must successfully lead their teams every day to achieve corporate goals while striving to become the best leaders they can be. Through practical advice and an engaged community, we strive to close the gap between concept and action. Community members learn not just what they can do to become a better leader but how they can do it, starting immediately.
Mike Richardson
Founder
Mike is the founder of The Richardson Leadership Group. He is passionate about developing leaders to become the best they can be. During his more than twenty-five years as a leader, he coached and mentored hundreds of associates and executive leaders across multiple large organizations. He is currently working to publish his book tentatively titled Practical Advice for Leaders: Become the Leader Everyone Wants to Work With, sharing his thoughts on a range of topics from leader behavior to strategy and execution, to team development and coaching.
His executive responsibilities included developing enterprise-level and organization-level strategies and leading teams to deliver them. Efforts included early web strategies, contact center, HR, and financial services technology strategies, as well as enterprise technology and data strategies, amongst others. He emphasized the importance of connecting associates to the strategies, making the abstract clear, and providing teams with the direction they needed to successfully deliver.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. He worked for Accenture, Coopers & Lybrand, IBM, and Nationwide prior to retiring from corporate life in 2023 to establish The Richardson Leadership Group.
